St. Louis is famous for its Arch, a historic symbol as the “gateway to the West.” This city is full of opportunity and offers great cultural experiences. At Rise Together, we represent this cultural diversity and opportunity. Throughout our ministry, we reach out to our neighbors, new, people of many nations, and build bridges of friendship.
Now, more than a gateway to the Western United States, St. Louis is second in the nation in the density of new immigrants.
About 4,000 more new arrivals (refugees, immigrants, students, visitors, undocumented transients and residents) enter the metropolitan area each year. Many churches are neither aware of nor prepared to deal with the blessings and the obstacles attached to this unique community. Rise Together Ministries seeks to bridge this gap. Founded in 2006 by Mr. Worku Geremew, an Ethiopian immigrant himself, Rise Together Ministries currently includes:
– After-school tutoring Program,
– Communal Mentoring Program
– Furniture and Clothing Ministry
– Counseling Program, and
– Job Development Programs
